One of the coolest things I get to do in my career is capture people’s special days. There’s a unique thrill in being the unseen observer, the one who gets to frame moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. Engagements are particularly special because they often come with an element of surprise, a carefully orchestrated plan that culminates in a beautiful and emotional moment.
I had the privilege of photographing Tyler and Kay's engagement. Tyler had reached out to me a week before the big day, eager to ensure that this moment would be perfectly captured. The plan was simple yet filled with anticipation: I would be discreetly positioned, ready to document the proposal as it unfolded.
The setting was picturesque—Sullivans Creek, a serene and beautiful location that provided the perfect backdrop for this special occasion. As I stood there, hidden from view, I watched Tyler and Kay approach in their boat.
